The Cuyahoga County Progressive Caucus, Working Families Party, Our Revolution Ohio, and the Progressive Change Campaign Committee have all officially backed my candidacy, recognizing the steadfast commitment to progressive values and tangible change that defines our campaign.
These endorsements come as a testament to our collective vision for a future where economic, environmental, and social justice are not just ideals but realities for all Ohioans. My journey as a public servant and activist, particularly as a City Councilman in Lakewood and as the Ohio Director for Solar United Neighbors, has been driven by a commitment to these very principles.
Progressive Record
Economic Justice: My advocacy for economic justice is rooted in the belief that full-time work should guarantee everyone a prosperous life and a dignified retirement. I've championed policies for a fair living wage and fought tirelessly for the rights of workers to organize and unionize, ensuring that the economic progress in Ohio benefits everyone, not just the affluent and large corporations.
Environmental Leadership: On the environmental front, my leadership has led to Lakewood's commitment to 100% clean energy by 2035 and the development of the city's first Climate Action Plan. These steps are just the beginning of what I hope to achieve statewide, including advocating for the Energy Jobs & Justice Act to ensure an equitable transition in Ohio to a clean, sustainable energy future.
Healthcare Access: Believing in healthcare as a fundamental right, I envision a system in Ohio where no one fears losing coverage due to life’s changes. My goal is to work towards a healthcare system that is cost-effective, covers all Ohioans, and addresses the disparities highlighted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Public Education and Safety: I stand for equitable funding for our schools, advocating for a fair funding formula that ensures every child has access to quality education regardless of their zip code. Additionally, my stance on gun violence reflects a commitment to comprehensive safety laws and support for community services that address the root causes of violence.

Strengthen Public Education: Ensure our public schools receive the support and funding necessary to provide a world-class education to every child in Ohio.
